The Healing Circle

A circle where faith meets honest conversation.

Healing rarely happens in isolation. Each week, a small group of women gathers to share a meal, open Scripture, and talk honestly about what they’re carrying — guided by a facilitator who has walked through hard seasons too.

We are peer support, not therapy — a supplement to whatever care you already have, and a soft place to land when you need one.

  • Peer-led, faith-rooted

Facilitated by women who understand, grounded in compassionate Christian community.

  • Confidential & judgment-free

What is shared in the circle stays in the circle. Always.

  • Small group, real connection

Kept intentionally small so every woman is seen, heard, and known by name.

  • Practical + spiritual

Each week pairs Scripture and prayer with everyday tools you can actually use.

Our Founder

Lawanda Toney-Moore built the room she needed.

After walking through her own season of loss and rebuilding, Lawanda kept meeting women carrying the same weight — quietly, alone, and unsure where to put it. She also noticed how few places let faith and hard feelings sit in the same room.

So she started one. She’s Healing On Purpose, Inc. was founded in Glendale, Wisconsin as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, built on a simple belief: women heal in community, and no one should have to pretend they are fine to belong.

Today that room has grown into a circle, a season of giving, and a community of women in the Milwaukee area who show up for each other — in prayer and in practice.
